Rampage Movie Review

Rampage review. John takes a few minutes to review the new Dwayne Johnson video game movie Rampage. Global icon Dwayne Johnson headlines the action adventure “Rampage,” directed by Brad Peyton. Johnson stars as primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who keeps people at a distance but shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, incredibly rare albino silverback gorilla who has been in his care since he rescued the young orphan from poachers. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size.

hawkins corp. says:

I would’ve like it to be a serious movie and not a silly movie. It’s like they and probably many other movies thought well so our movie does suck we’ll just make it stupid funny and “some” will like it. And some equals $$$

Captain Canuck says:

There had better be a scene where George holds his eye in pain after Lizzy punches him in the face.

Spencer Jackson says:

Don’t care, gonna watch it!

ThaRiddler says:

There was no chemistry because Rocky doesn’t like Black women.

Another year of failed video game adaptation attempts.

Trey says:

Moviepassing this instead of Truth or Dare

Noot says:

A shallow film that requires no real thinking that’s equally a waste of time and money. Yet another pathetic outing from the Hollywood scrapyard

Spudo says:

I expect a dumpster fire and more than likely that’s what I’m getting. This looks like big budget sharknado, and in no way is that good on any level of dumb fun.

Aleksandar Radovanovic says:

An ape, wolf and lizard walk into a bar…

Rikkaku The Sai-Krowe says:

Rampage is just as mindless as its source material…….but it’s just as fun as well. I honestly kinda loved it!

Carlos Sorrentino says:

A spin-off movie with Dwayne and Samuel Jackson’s characters from that movie, The Other Guys, could be a stupid-funny action flick pending a good script and a couple more crazy characters added. Bring it!

Ragedaddy says:

This would be the perfect time for WB to give us a Godzilla 2: King of Monsters teaser right before Rampage starts at the theater…

Entertainment Buddy says:

“That’s a big arm, don’t fight it. “

Aaron Johnson says:

this movie sounds fun : )

UGH! That hi-res image of the game is disgusting and blasphemous

Philip Alvarez says:

So then I should just go see A Quiet Place this weekend instead?

sadlobster1 says:

We must never forget that the original Rampage games were each VERY silly.

So; if the movie is able to capture that very silliness, I’m happy

bloodsoldierZ says:

Yeah. I’m not interested. There’s nothing fun about stupid.

Koba says:

Giant gorilla rampaging through a city. Are there biplanes in this one.

I want Rock charisma and stupid fun “Hulk smash” kind of action. That’s all I’m looking for. Also some cheesy one-liners.

live2collect 247 says:

San Andreas v Jumanji. The Rock is becoming quite boring and lame af.

ZISSOU says:

I can wait for this on Netflix. I think this one is going to be a bomb at the box office. Now watch it make $600+ million worldwide, haha!

benson coal says:

Great review John. I’m super excited to see this thing

Factual Opinion says:

I really hope meg will be serious and not a goofy movie with cheesy lines

Ben V says:

Saving money for Infinity War but happy you enjoyed it!

James B. says:

@John Campea my expectations for the film are pretty much how you describe it in your review. It’s a classic example of a fun and silly popcorn flick. No fuss no Mas nothing really all that deep.

trendsonic77 says:

yeah now it’s a party

Master Penguin says:

Fun fact: The director of San Andreas, Brad Peyton, actually directed this film.
