I get annoyed when people say “DC is taking a new approach with their movies”. They’re not. So called elseworlds movies are what comic book movies were before the MCU. Self contained. No universe building. The only reason they’re doing it, is b/c they can’t figure out the shared universe so at least this way the failure of one film doesn’t automatically cast a shadow on the next.
