John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place’ opens this weekend from Platinum Dunes. He’s one of the cowriters on the film as well and stars Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds. The film received incredible buzz coming out of SXSW and it’s looking to pose a formidable challenge to ‘Ready Player One’. The film centers on a family that is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.
Perri Nemiroff and John Rocha are here to give you their NON-Spoiler review of the film and let you know if it lives up to its festival hype. They also let you know if this is an incredible horror movie debut for Krasinski as a director. Let us know what you think about what Perri and Rocha had to say about it in the Comments section below. Remember to Like and Share this video on your social media and Subscribe to our channel.

Love your review/commentary. Keep em coming!
Who would have thought M.Bay produced this movie. Going to see this again.
Perri !!! Outlaw!!!
Hope this movie does well at the box office .. and hopefully shuts up the people who say “Hollywood doesn’t make original movies anymore” we’ll bitch here’s one and u better go watch it
I really want to see this
I can’t stand when critics are afraid to give a movie a perfect score. I’ve NEVER seen Perri give a movie a 10/10, yet I’ve seen plenty of reviews where she doesn’t have a single problem with a movie. Why not give it a 10/10 if you don’t have a problem with it worth noting?
Perri and the outlaw rule!
This review brought to you by Apple. 😛
I swear to GOD. Y’all need to stop putting questions in the titles of your movie reviews.
On a scale of 1-10 how scary? Not a big horror fan but want to see it.
hahahaha, sure…. or destined to be forgotten in 2 weeks after a “new horror classic” comes out
It’s only April and we’ve already gotten Annihilation, Unsane, The Ritual, Thoroughbreds, Veronica, and now this. Awesome time to be a fan of genre
I’m with Perri 9/10 best film this year so far.
Great. It’s a new idea. I think it should be called a silent film?
Just came back from it. It’s an absolutely excellent horror film, unexpectedly moving and very atmospheric. The actors did a great job making you care about them and major kudos to John Krasinski.
Krasinski and Blunt for Reed and Sue.
Closest showing: two and a half hours away?! Darn you small towns!!!
Seeing it this Saturday! : )
cant wait to see that picture
I can’t wait to see it this weekend. Thanks for the review!
By far the best horror movie of 2018 so far. Go see it! Horror fans.
I think I gave it 8.5. You’re both right. It is a very, very good hororr film. From 60 seconds in, you are never let go, you cannot relax.
stupid plot…u try shutting up three kids or them to be silent for one hour – big failed, not practical. Come on..
Got my tickets for Friday at the Prime….yeah boy!!!
Just got back from an advanced screening at the Alamo and I have to echo what Perri and Rocha say here – you need to watch this film, more so if you’re a fan of the genre! I’m like Rocha in that I’m not usually a fan of horror movies but Get Out, Annihilation, and now A Quiet Place are slowly changing that.
Wow! Rocha and Perri in total agreement. Hell must frozen over! Lol.
John has become such a star. So proud of him
Isn’t Clark your horror girl? Where she at?
Platinum Dunes better sign Jim to a deal, they have had a long run of shit for awhile now. Krasinski was tied to a David Foster Wallace movie for years, that kept getting delayed, and now hopefully he gets the opportunity for some great projects. Maybe he and Emily will be a new great movie making team.
Absolutely loved it. Coming from someone who isn’t a fan of horror films.
The suspense that is constantly built and resolved by Krasinski is fantastic.
You’ll be on the edge of your seat and you’ll be completely invested in this family that is only trying to survive.
A quiet place, the worst film to see with loud audience members
