BlacKkKlansman – Movie Review

The crazy, but true story of a black police officer in 1979 who infiltrated the KKK. Here’s my review of Spike Lee’s BLACKkKLANSMAN!

Alex Andrews says:

God knows why David Duke actually likes Trump, aside from his immigration policy (and Trump’s issue is with illegal and lottery immigration, not immigration in general). And Trump campaigned on school choice for the express purpose of helping the poorer, more ethnic communities. Black and Hispanic unemployment are at their lowest levels in decades. Trump is not an isolationist, he’s proved kind of the opposite. And Duke is not a small-government conservative/libertarian. Neither is Trump, but they don’t align in very many ways at all. So Duke is obviously crazy.

Alex Andrews says:

Fun Fact: Birth of a Nation was the first movie ever screened at the White House, requested by Woodrow Wilson. He thought it was brilliant.

Nora Hull says:

Watched the movie on August 12. Either the best day or the worst day to watch the movie.

Eric Brooks says:

The Klan has used the MAGA phrase since at least the early 1900’s.

cliched topic says:

Your trip impression, is… Woah

LX says:

A very political movie, very biased, with a very narrow-minded message and direction.
In the end of the movie, Spike Lee gives a shout out to a white girl who was brutally killed in August 2017, in America. Should we feel sorry for her? I don’t know her.
Well, how about thousands of women and children killed in Afganistan and Iraq under Bush administration, and more thousands killed in Syria under Obama administration. 97%rotten tomatoes my ass.

Freddy Krueger says:

I honestly thought the film was going to be a comedy…

FriendlyCrooc says:

Didn’t even watch BlacKkKlansman but I know it’s just another radical political propaganda piece from Hollywood exposing their extreme views and nothing else. Jeremy say it or forget it.
lol Had to edit my comment to add this in: the comments section is proof of how much this piece of radical left wing propaganda trash is dividing people.

FPG Matthew says:

I wonder if there will ever be a day when Hollywood releases a right leaning movie. No? I’ll keep dreaming I guess.

Scsigs says:

Meh, the Trump impersonation sounds like an imitation of Jimmy Fallon’s imitation of him, but I agree with the sentiment. Trump’s an idiot & a lot of the anger towards him could be easily deflated if he wouldn’t be such a shithead, y’know?

6373billy says:

Hate me all you want but I saw yesterday Antifa in black clothes beat the shit out of reporters and destroyed property.

Shane Lees says:

This was my favorite review you’ve done yet. I loved this review. You had me rolling.

ShawN shawN says:

NIce review. Congrats on capturing the top lead for the review. What do you think drove you to the top of the reviews here? I did my own cut of the film as well if you get bored. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Cold Flame says:

But how?

Tone Riggz says:

KKK, very low energy. Disgusting Klan. Sad.

Mufti Saili says:

Welp, demonetized

figt4acause says:

Topher had to watch interviews of David Duke. There’s a Donahue interview from way back where he says make America great again and a lot stuff that trump echoed.

The Charles Rand says:

The Best Movie of 2018, by far!

Chupa Cabra says:

Someone in California found a poster asking people to join the K K and K and they got all bent out of shape and it even made the news. It’s like, OMG, what a trajic thing! LOL

word up says:

So he wasn’t a racist then but is now

Raul Abundis says:

I fuckin lost it at the end when it showed present time. Just immediately started crying, I almost didn’t know why. I couldn’t control it, in fact I heard about a dozen joining in

Lamar Bell says:

I knew EXACTLY how the comment section would look for this video.

Patriot of Justice says:

It may have been a true story, but the whole movie reeks of political bias. A.O.Scott of the NYTimes took the time to make a stupid claim about being racist is what makes people white. And the Charlottesville thing at the end? The left completely condemns Trump based on fake news. This is his full statement.

As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence. It has no place in America. And as I have said many times before, no matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty God. We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry and violence. We must rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.

Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our Creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our Constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America.

Spot on Trump impression

charlietuba says:

I thought Steve Buscemi was in it but it turned out to be his brother Michael.

Isabella L. Price says:

Couple of things; he never talked to anyone from the Black Panthers about being a cop, he talked to his girlfriend who was part of the Black Student Union of her school, not the same thing. Also David Duke 1000% said “America First” which was said and still is said today by Donald Trump, he might have not said exactly “Make America Great Again” but Duke has outspokenly endorsed Trump and Trump refused to separate himself from Duke. It’s really interesting what white people took away from this movie, it’s much different than my own. The scene where the heads are floating was not literal it was a really impressionist take on what it feels like to feel like you’re being spoken directly to, also it reminded me a lot of the portraits that black people would take in the 70’s.

Nick Arender says:

If I made a movie about a Nazi joining the black Panthers like this movie, I would get hate on immensely. It probably would be taken down. There’s so much misinformation that has spread around that all sides seem bad or good depending on where you stand. But it’s sad that I can’t make a movie about the other side because people consider it bad. There’s truth in both, and the winners are the only ones who get the spotlight to tell it, and even then, no one asks the winners to tell the truth

Jkila25 says:

I appreciate you Jeremy!!

Jonathan McCook says:

Sad to see the media doing anything they can to make trump look bad. For him or against him we should want him to succeed…. for our sake.

Joseph Stone says:

Why couldn’t trump say that? Because antifa is a terrorist group that had no right to be there and came to do battle, the kkk had a license to be there. Both sides were wrong and that’s what he said. Jeremy I’m a huge fan, don’t make this channel political whenever movies come out like this.

Peto Petteri says:

I think those faces of audience with faded background during speech in black meeting was great idea and was done brilliantly.

Joe Doe says:

Donald Trump is a supremacist. He admits to being born with special genes on his youtube channel, like most supremacist that believe in being genitcally superior,
His policies are focused on reducing the illegal and legal immigration of black and brown people, which all supremacist want, and has a problem with condeming that ideology and often put in on the same moral plane as antifa. Hes surrounded by people who are involve in one way or another with white supremacy, like Stephen Miller and his past relationship with Richard Spencer.
Its not too hard to look at it if more people listened to white supremacist theyd see it. I think for white people especially, are afraid to the possibilities of seeing similarities with white supremacist. Recognizing flaws can being healthy and is needed for change.
Randomly bored thoughts

J3TTXZ says:

I love white women

Chupa Cabra says:

So, when are we going to see a film about a white detective infiltrating the Black Supremacist racist hate groups like the Nation of Islam or the New Black Panthers and bringing them down? You do know that the Southern Poverty Law Center has named those, and others, as black racist hate groups, don’t you? It really shocked Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks on air when Cenk was trying to talk about racist hate groups in the US. After it was flashed on the screen…he looked shocked…and said: “oh, that can’t be right!” LOL Blacks would have a fit if such a movie was ever made and released…It’s black privilege, you know! They think they can do unto others but others can’t do unto them!

White Boy says:

Another movie to try and keep racism alive
