Booksmart Movie Review: Destined to Become a High School Comedy Classic (SXSW Early Review)
Perri Nemiroff and Dorian Parks review Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut Booksmart, starring Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever.
Booksmart follows high school best friends, played by Feldstein and Dever, who try to cram four years of partying into the night before their graduation. The film also stars Billie Lourd, Skyler Gisondo, Jessica Williams, Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis. Wilde directs from a script by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins and Susanna Fogel and Kate Silberman. The film hits theaters May 24th.
