LUNA says:

From the new films I think this is my favorite one, it was entertaining and the fights kept me on edge. It wasn’t predictable which was fantastic so no it wasn’t exactly like Empire strikes back not even close. This movie created more depth to the characters which I loved. These new movies are still better than the episodes I,II and III don’t get me wrong there are moments I like but we all know the II one is shit. The last Jedi was something refreshing that added a lot to star wars. The visuals looked amazing and so did the action sequences. The characters had great chemistry aside from the Rose and Finn romance which was a little too sudden. But hollywood movies tend to force romances in some places they don’t fit. Other than that I enjoyed it very much, Luke was great, Rey was great, Kylo was great, everyone was so great. However Snoke at some point of the movie wasn’t that threatening and I think Phasma would’ve deserved more. But it was still a good film.

Norkoss says:

5/10 🙁

the guy the real guy says:

The action and lightsabers sucked but there is a particular scene that literally put brightness into my heart

Sreehari says:

Bloody Jesus ! Not again. I thought this one will suck. It should have sucked.

Antoine Misas says:

jesus….the humour, the forced stupid 90´s sitcom humour! it felt like a bad parody!

TheZebbga says:

Iv’e seen it. Han Solo dies.

FRISHR says:

Snoke is

Connor Jenks says:

The worst Star Wars film of the lot, never felt so disappointed leaving the cinema. Absolutely gutted

DannyBouySyn says:

Was awesome up until the ending

jason R says:

I️ wish I had a million followers so I️ could sit on my ass dressed like a metrosexual jackass spewing about the latest piece of nerd culture that probably sucks but we’ll pretend to love it because are nerdy parents did

Blueaceguy05 says:

Here are my pros and cons of this movie
Pros:
-Mark Hamill god like acting as Luke Skywalker and Carrie fisher did amazing as Leia
-Looks amazing in lightsaber and space battles
-Good acting from most people
-Had a few laughs with the children of Jar Jar Binks and the Ewoks
-The opening space battle was quite amazing and well-done
-Rey and Kylo’s relationship was interesting to me
-I loved Poe Dameron’s energy and enthusiasm
-Reunion scenes between luke and the original characters (Chewbacca, Leia and R2D2). All reunions reminded me of the originals but added something new to make me think of this movie
Cons:
-Movie makes Luke selfish. Even Mark Hamill wasn’t proud of the way disney wrote Luke and can you blame him
-Movie drags out to long in some places (especially with the rich jokes).
-Feels stupid to make the plot be about the dark side chasing the republic and continuing it next episode
-Snoke dying like a wimp and not knowing anything about him. Most useless villain ever.
-Phasma is a wasted character (feel sorry for the actress this year first Brienne now Phasma)
-Everything about Yoda from animation to burning the tree down
-Leia in space and surviving (can they explain why that happened and how)
-The Finn/Rose plot. This part of the movie felt very forced to me the romance and plot overall
-Finn’s character evolution from potential Jedi to comedy relief
-Most of the new characters are meh at best and forgettable at worst like that code traitor guy
-That unnecessary ending with the boy, you could have just have got to the credits when the falcon got to hyper space but nope add another scene with a boy just to foreshadow disney making episodes 10,11,12
Overall: 6/10

Anders Marius Henriksen says:

Hamill was great, that’s about it. Middle part of the movie felt like it was straight out of the prequel trilogy. The whole casino thing SUCKED and Rose and Finn don’t work as a team or as characters. BB-8 on an AT-ST was also very prequel-ish… and the movie felt too CG/fake a lot of the time as well. Oh, and Snoke or Rey’s backstory? And Phasma? Meh… And how’s Chewie and R2 doing? WHO CARES, apparently

Manweor says:

Take away a few scenes with childish humour (some are good, others are quite bad), especially in the first part. Plus the Leia scene (you will know). And it’s a really good movie. I expected something a bit deeper as background, it’s a bit too standard. Ok, but standard. Several scenes are awsome.
Spoiler:

The Casino scene is pretty bad. Once they are back in space it’s really cool.

Justxcaz says:

Chris… do you honestly believe, being a huge Stars Wars fan from the OT, that you liked some of the things that happened in this film? People have already mentioned terrible, cringey moments that Hardcore Star Wars fans like you would gasp at.

Balkanishenjebach says:

Based on the trailers alone I though to myself…. Damn mark hamil is good…. Better then the rest of them actually…. I am glad I was not fooled. Nothing about snooke?

Bugsy Films says:

Can the haters just go away and learn to respect opinions?

melchaios says:

Sorry, not an A- by a long shot. It’s actually quite dissapointing, Rogue one was actually better and that’s just a side flick

javier lema says:

Piece ok crap of movie. Killed star wars

Papa Twisty says:

Ok here we go. Star Wars Episode 8 is cliche to its very core, the new characters introduced were pointless (Rose for an example) The movie isn’t completely bad but overall it misses the mark for old time Star Wars fans and even creates these pointless “comedy” parts to make some money off the children because that’s where it’s aimed at kids.

The story was fine but some parts felt dragged out and “forced” ignore the pun. I’m not going to give Spoilers if you haven’t seen it but I will say this. Luke Skywalker was treated with no respect, I felt as if Disney slapped me with that Disney dick. I wanted to love this movie I really did, this isn’t a hate comment but a real review, not being blinded by fanboy glasses. Take this as you please.

Finally I’d like to add no disrespect to Chris Stuckmann here. He has his opinion but don’t take his words as gospel.
Watch the movie and pick it apart for yourselves and once you do you’ll see the total disregard for the older characters and the forced humor and marketing tricks.

May the force be with you.

Tony Kafrini says:

Chris has a fetish with characters in general, he expected a very in depth development of the characters in a movie(Rogue One) that the main focus is this one fucking mission inside the Star Wars saga. He can’t understand that not every movie is necessary to have over developed characters, especially if it’s not a trilogy. You expect that level of development in a SW trilogy not in Rogue One. RO has its flaws but it was something new and different and with better actors that died, which is realistic and the final meaning of this whole war movie, there are no winners in war. I personally don’t like the “new” approach of SW, its the same story with a Disney emo-childish style and with very bad actors in general, I don’t even want to talk about the Sith, there are even worse…

Bugsy Films says:

I agree with everything you said

Udy Kumra says:

I loved Force Awakens. I don’t know why some people don’t like it.

Cheong Wai Kian says:

The movie was disappointing.

bradley willson says:

I have never come out of a cinema so dissapointed. And I mean that whole heartedly. Near the end of the film I was just thinking star wars should’ve been left alone. I know it sounds crazy but Star Wars has a standard and TFA was pretty nice this film was honestly shocking. As an avid fan who came in open minded I am so dissapointed. I think Chris has been too kind to this movie. I’m willing to make points with people questions. I think people should see this movie once or twice and then not see it again. This movie honestly would have been better if they ripped off ESB then this. The ‘originality’, Rian Johnson was going for just painted the view for this whole movie. Overall heavily underwhelmed.

thanks for the review, no spoilers thank you.
