We Are What We Are (2013) movie review horror drama thriller

My website- http://www.cauwel3.com/
My review for the ultra serious horror film We Are What We Are (2013). I am curious to see how it differs from the original Spanish language film it is based on. And before you say it “subtler” is not a word either. I have an addiction to bad English.

Just got to see this and of course will be reviewing it after you! I totally agree about the ending, seemed to come out of nowhere. Mickle has done three solid films thus far, will he blow this wonderful streak on his next film?

BarlowEnter says:

I realize there’re people who would like their favorite series or franchise to end when it told its story. Star Wars/Terminator,/Robocop sure, and The Walking Dead, but I doubt this view is common. Look, sci-fi series and among other cult classics/fandom worthy series has a hard time surviving. Firefly, Friday the 13th, DC&Marvel. My view isn’t quite as common either, honestly. I’d like to see the franchise goes on telling a different story. Like TWD’s telltale game did. Our views are both rare

John Wills says:

Its one of those rare cases where I think the remake is a bit better.

I am what I am. Now that´s Popeye.

cauwel3 says:

kept thinking about that when I was doing the review lol

cauwel3 says:

yeah they are going to go hopefully for only 6 or 7. I cant see the rating holding to much longer.

cauwel3 says:

Yes the original changes the sex’s around.

I am going to check this one out ! … I have the original Mexican film and I can’t really remember too much about it, but I have reviewed it a while ago. It wasn’t the memorable in my opinion, but having said that, it wasn’t bad. So, this could be one of the occasions where a remake is better than the original. I will have to rewatch the original, to boost my memory of it. Great review, my friend!

fernandoss says:

Mexican not spanish film.

Scott Slemons says:

sweet stash

cauwel3 says:

thanks

cauwel3 says:

I guess the characters are different.

nready says:

I have seen the original Spanish film and I really enjoyed it, this new film looks like it’s going to be very different. I’m looking forward to seeing this version, good review.

David Koenig says:

They just announced season 5 this morning…O….K….

izzy Darling says:

i have been thinking about seeing the original Spanish movie but i think i will just skip it for this one now. i don’t mind subtitles but i think i would rather just see this version since it looks okay.

Universe says:

“They’re sort of like religious”. Now that’s an understatement if I ever heard one!

cauwel3 says:

I don’t think most people hate the show. I am addressing concerns I have heard people mention. I will probably watch it till the end. But 4 seasons in how many more do you think they can do ?

BarlowEnter says:

Your review on The Walking Dead season 3 made me quit watching your video until now. I went 13 seconds into that review and that’s all it took. Most of the time you’re fair with your reviews. But no, not the Walking Dead. It’s like you know that most people like the show but you go out of your way making it sound like most people hate it, thinks it dragged on for too long. Did you read the comics? I’m pretty sure if you’re a devoted fan you’d respect the story’s length.

David Koenig says:

Uh…Mr.Cauwel is probably the most fair of any reviewer on YT. Most people I know are dropping the show (myself included) because it’s just overblown. It’s AMC’s new gravy train and they will milk it for as long as they can.
